My work in translation and transcription is mainly (but not restricted to) the following areas:
• medical and pharmaceutical market research and clinical trials,
• EU, UN and NGO documents,
• healthcare,
• agriculture and environment (EU regulation),
• business (contracts/insurance/tenders/certificates)
• tutorials/training and marketing,
• tourism and travel.
I specialize in working with Latin American Spanish – particularly Caribbean Spanish (Cuban/Puerto Rican), but I have also lived and worked in Madrid, Spain and I currently work alongside my husband who is a native Spanish speaker, so any slang/dialects are not a problem.
TRANSLATION – recent examples
- Approval documentation of agricultural chemical registrations in EU countries, training handbooks for sales representatives in the pharmaceutical industry, UN Millennium Goals for subtitling, birth/marriage certificates, personal medical records, presentations regarding new asthma, heart condition and diabetes drugs coming onto the market.
TRANSCRIPTION – recent examples
- I have experience in transcribing and reviewing around 30 hours of medical focus group interviews.
Specific subjects:
- Psoriasis – new biologic treatments on the market – interviews conducted with skincare specialists based in hospitals and hospital pharmacists.
- Healthcare networks – joining drug companies and GPs in charge of choosing which drugs to prescribe to their patients.
